- A transformer 220V / 35V 3A
- 1 diode bridge 3A or 4 diode 1N5003
- IC LM317 + heatsink
- Power resistance R2 = 0.85 Ohm / 2W or equivalent resistor suitable for calculating your protection current.

Principle of operation:
After assembling the circuit as the principle diagram, Let's start using it:
- The transformer has the function of lowering the 220VAC voltage to 28V-35VAC output, this voltage is passed through the diode to rectify to a DC voltage.
- Capacitor C1 is responsible for filtering and leveling the DC output voltage after passing the diode and is inserted into the LM317 IC. LM317 is a voltage regulator IC, the output voltage is adjusted by R3 and rheostat rheostat through the ADJ pin of LM317
- R1, R2 and Q1 function to "sense" the current and overcurrent protection. When the charging current is too large, the VBE voltage of Q1> 0.65V Q1 will clear and pull the ADJ block of LM317 so the OUT voltage will be reduced.
